Photo Essay: Lino Gaspar House, Portugal

An intimate look behind Resort 27, through the lens of Marie-Therese Haustein.

Set along the Portuguese coast in Caxias, just outside Lisbon, Lino Gaspar House provided the setting for our Resort 27 campaign. A study in modernist architecture, the house reflects an approach to design that feels closely connected to the collection, where material, form and construction become part of the story.

Built between 1953 and 1955, the house belongs to a period of change in Portuguese architecture, when a new generation of architects began moving away from convention towards a more informal way of living. Its open spaces, considered proportions and relationship with the surrounding landscape speak to an interest in architecture as something to be lived in, rather than simply admired.

For Resort 27, we continued our creative collaboration with stylist Marie-Therese Haustein and photographer Ana Roque, exploring the relationship between clothing, architecture and the spaces we inhabit.

Captured by Marie during our time at the house, this series of photographs offers a more personal perspective on the setting. Architectural details, shifting light and moments between takes reveal the character of Lino Gaspar House beyond the campaign, and the shared curiosity that continues to inform our work together.
