FIELD NOTES:
MAISON LOUIS CARRÉ

At Maison Louis Carré, the only building in France designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, modernism meets intimacy. Designed in 1959 as the home of art dealer Louis Carré, the space reflects Aalto’s harmony of form, light, and nature.

Maison Louis Carré provided a fitting backdrop for Resort 26, a collection grounded in contrast and craft. In collaboration with photographer Ana Roqué, we documented the season as she moved through the space, observing corners, light, and quiet intersections. The season unfolds in contrasts, soft gestures meeting structured lines, familiar forms shifting into something new.

The accompanying photo essay, captured by Lee, lingers on the architecture itself. Corners, objects, and details that reveal the lasting influence of Aalto’s design.
